I recommend counseling.

I met with two. Not at the same time. The first one attempted to exorcise demons and told me that I had to “let it go.”

A second opinion was in order.

Number two was much more insightful and helpful, and he directed me to an online group of men who were walking through some junk together.

I investigated.

In summary, “We’ll read this book together that pulls lessons learned by Odysseus’s journeys detailed in The Odyssey.”

And I saw a blurb on the website about this other book about a man sailing around the world and not going back home when he was done.

Instead of joining the group, I bought all three books.

You shall see them all here. I read The Odyssey first, as it would not be fit to read the 2nd book without knowing and understanding the first. What self-respecting man could live with himself?

As for the book itself, it is poetry from 1500 years ago. Reading, in English, ancient Greek poetry that doesn’t rhyme is not exactly the most desirable method. But I love stories so much, and they are plentiful.

I had always been interested in Homer’s famous works anyway. Consider this one read, but The Iliad unread, forever.
