An undertaking.

I had to keep a sheet of paper handy to draw the family trees.

I do hate the rendition. The claim is made that nothing of importance was left out, but it cannot be so. Stories jumped from one to another too quickly and without explanation.

But the original was supposedly a thousand pages long and published in 1485.
