“Who do the people say that I am?”

The people said that He was another prophet. Did that hurt? Did He care? I wonder at the humanization of Christ.

The outside noise can get quite loud.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think He dwelt on what others thought of Him, but His next question was pointed.

“But who do you say that I am?”

Did He care about that one?

Was it important to Him that His closest friends saw Him accurately? If they didn’t, if they saw Him as “one of the prophets,” would He have felt drastically misunderstood?

And if He DID feel drastically misunderstood, what then? Would it matter?

Just… a musing.
