But I did look it up.

Al Aaraaf is the Koran’s version of what Catholics refer to as Purgatory.

Not identical. But similar concepts.

I’m not an expert on either one, but while we’re on the subject…

What are ghosts? Are they real? Spirits of the dead. People who actually walked the Earth.

I cannot say with absolute certainty that they don’t exist.

My old philosophy (back when I knew everything) suggested that any spirit is either an angel or a demon.

Well, I can point to several scriptures that negate that. From the Bible. Scriptures from the Bible. The Holy one.

But these people that are dead. Who are seen again in some way. Or heard.

…Where are they?

I have done my fair share of bashing Catholicism. But, hell, maybe they’re on to something.
