Aundi is a Christian counselor.
Well… she’s a counselor who is also a Christian. I don’t know she mixes the two professionally. But she does in this book.
Most of the Christian counselors I’ve been in contact with would be in disagreement with a lot of what’s in this book.
A lot Christian non-counselors would be too.
Granted, I think I liked it because it confirmed several things I had already landed on but couldn’t fully accept for the many outside voices indirectly responsible for my inner conflicts.
The concept of our “windows of tolerance” was my greatest takeaway. I definitely have one, and it’s narrow.
She said more about how to expand it or how to set boundaries so that we remain in it when feeling overwhelmed. Or something like that.
Those two points were unfortunately not my biggest takeaways.
There’s only so much I can do at one time.
You get it.
No more self help for the foreseeable future.
