I bought this book (and like 13 others) because I searched for any sort of adventure that would come close to Endurance.

Lots of war books.

World War II is fascinating to me so I didn’t mind.

Definitely didn’t come close to Endurance and definitely wasn’t the best WWII book I’ve ever read.

Really short account of a really short term of service, which is obviously not something I’m chiding him for.

But, as I always say, a book doesn’t have to be long. It only has to be complete.

Nevertheless, I wasn’t captivated by the stories.

And… I love stories…
