The author of this poem entered a contest given only the accompanying picture, “Cotton Gin” by Andrea A. Gluckman.

This fella definitely didn’t submit an already written poem, he has a great title, and he used some solid words and imagery.

But the picture is better.

It makes me sad to look at, but it’s a great one.
