I never liked it.

Until…

I heard Rob Thomas say it was about his mom.

And just like that… I love the song.

I told my older brother this many years ago, and he said that’s the sign of an artist.

It could be the highest compliment he’s ever given me.

Anyway, the authors of these poems have space in the back of this book to explain a little bit. I’m ashamed I haven’t looked there, but I wanted to see and hear what I took only.

Unfortunately, I never would have understood the genius here had I not searched it up.
